Michelle Tin and Logan Klar have been honored with the prestigious Undergraduate Research Scholars Award from the School of Biological Sciences at the University of Utah. This recognition comes with a generous $5000 grant, enabling them to conduct their research in our lab throughout the summer and fall semesters. Logan will study the role of microglia and perineuronal nets in androgen-induced neuronal plasticity in female African clawed frogs, Xenopus laevis. Michelle will study cellular mechanisms underlying the insensitivity to opioid-induced respiratory depression in X. laevis. We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Logan and Michelle on their well-deserved achievement!
